EVALUATION

I like too much do blog in class, I was never use a blog or a page where I talk about a topic. I fell that this work will help me in my future as a journalist and maybe I write in a blog ore in a page like this.

I think for journalism and cine is so important to develop the skill of talk about some topic that someone give us, because (in journalism) the newspapers, notices and radios programme give to the workers a topic.

Maybe if I could change some of the blogs works I talk more about cine and journalism, it occurs to me that we could write about the news or the actuality of Chile and the world. Also I think that we can delete the first blogs about ourselves, our biography and things that we like, because I don’t like to talk about myself and I prefer to keep my private life and preference in private. Also I don’t like to publish personal information in the web, but it’s okay for this class.

Regardless of the above I love do blogs and it could be a part of all the classes in ICEI. 

A GHOST STORY

I like a lot to see movies, and one of the last movies I see is A ghost story, I like a lot this movie, but isn’t my favourite, some people don’t like the film because is really slow, but I like slows movies. I

          A ghost story is a movie of Davis Lowery and it was released is de mid of 2017, the movie is about a couple that move to live in a house, here the boyfriend die and he is shown as a ghost. The film is starring by Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck, I saw the movie because I love Rooney.  

          The movie have a scene after that the boy die where she is eating a pie, the scene is more than five minutes long, but is so sad and demonstrates perfectly the suffering of the loss of a loved one.

        This scene is so weird in a movie that is just a piece of art. The movie have too many incredible scenes, but this one is masterly, the movie is so sensitive that not all people appreciate it and it’s criticized by people that can’t supports the silence and quite scenes.

WRITTEN LANGUAJE AND WRITING

My favourite subject is written language and writing (lenguaje escrito y redacción). The teacher is Patricio Jara and all the classes are about languaje, we learn a lot about orthography and write. In the semester we saw orthography, punctuation and the structure of a notice, reportage, chronicle and profile. My favourite activity in the class is go out to report or make interviews. Also we read little books of some of the most famous or important journalist of the las five decades.
I like language because I love this area, in the future I will be a teacher of language, also I would like to write about the chilean language and chilenismos. I found incredible all the languages that exist in the world and the mixes of them.
I think I can be the assistant of some teacher of language in the future to prepare myself as a teacher, also I can do a master or an internship of language. Maybe if I pass the english or French class I also can study this languages and be a teacher of idioms.

SEXISM IN PEAKY BLINDERS

Peaky Blinders is a series based on the story of a gangster family in Birmingham, the protagonist is Thomas Shelby, leader of the gang Peaky Blinders. He was a recognized soldier in World War I, but his traumas and hatred towards the traitors led Thomas to take over the family business of illegal gambling and lead the gang. He and his whole family were part of the business.

I met Peaky Blinders because I like series based on real life, but with some fiction, I also like gang series or old.

Thomas practices gender violence because he uses women as an object and thinks that they can not decide for themselves. He does not allow his sister to marry the man she loves, ignore his aunt and despise prostitutes.

In the photo, Thomas was using his friend (and lover) as a whore to do business with another gang leader.

GABRIEL GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ

Gabriel García Márquez is a Colombian journalist, which is mainly devoted to literature. He born in Colombia in 1927 and die in Mexico in 2014. Some of his most important books are "Crónica de una muerte anunciada" and "El amor en los tiempos del cólera". He won the Novel Prize of literature in 1982 for his work "Cien años de soledad" which is the main reference of magical realism.

I like García Márquez because he transforms reality into a magical story, takes journalism further and turns it into literature, and was a very noble person, who did not go against his principles and had a very progressive and advanced mentality for his time.

My favorite book of him is "Un señor muy viejo con unas alas enormes", because it portrays the reality of many old Latin American couples, but adds a bit of magic. I like the same thing about "El coronel no tiene quien le escriba", since it is frequent in his books to find old characters who suffer the consequences of a lonely and poor life.

A WEEK IN LONDON

THE STORY OF A PICTURE

Last week I met after more than three years with two of my best friends from school, before we were always together, but when we went to college or some better schools we had to separate.

This year it coincided that we all came to live in Santiago, so we decided to get together to talk and eat. We met at a Shell on Matta Avenue and we sat on the sidewalk of the place to talk. We were there for more than three hours and when it was late we realized the building that was in front and as light to make each curtain stand out.

I decided to take a photo as a memory of that moment, because I know that I will not forget of this walk. In our conversation we began to imagine what the people living in each department would be like, each one telling a different story, just like us.

It was a very relaxed and beautiful afternoon, always when I feel happy as that day I take a picture to remember it.
